Performance Enhancing Drugs
Just in case anyone actually reads this new, unknown blog, I thought I should get it out there that none of the writer-bloggers contributing to this site use or will use performance enhancing drugs like human growth hormone, steroids, or even illegal amounts of Red Bull.
That said, it is the holiday season, and I've just gotten into cooking and baking, so I am completely hopped-up on sugar. And I do want to write about my new found cooking/baking excellence, but I'll save that for another time because I need to write about what I didn't get to hate.
I didn't get to hate Diablo Cody's movie Juno. I really wanted to. Being from Minneapolis and seeing this stripper/blogger/memoirist getting famous and moving to Hollywood, I felt a deep need to see and hate her movie. But I liked it. A lot. It's all funny and well-written just like they're saying. Too bad...looks like I am searching for something to hate. Here's the movie site just in case: http://www.foxsearchlight.com/juno/
And here's some other words on the subject: http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/movie/15826128/review/17436405/juno
I'll be back after I find something good to hate. Or another cookie.

Juno was good -- thought I'd hate it too. Her book Candy Girl sucked.
Didn't you think the patter was a tad too hip; too hip for its own good. I thought the film was clever, by half. This summer's LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE.
That too hip patter was something I was looking for, hoping it would scream out: "I am hip movie banter." But, although I agree with what you're driving at, it still had me laughing out loud and promising to wear a high school track and field uniform to the birth of my children.
